Job Description

Delivery days start early in Ballito, and a cement and brick yard needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off

Must-haves

Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
No criminal record
Friendly with customers at the door
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

Helpful, not essential

Basic furniture assembly skills
Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
Past work as a driver's assistant

On offer

Meal allowance on long-route days
Route-completion incentives in busy months
Uniform and safety shoes provided
Help to get your own licence through the company later

Applying, step by step

Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
Have the following on hand (clear photos on your phone are fine at first): police clearance if you already have one, clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp plus CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work.
Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
Keep your phone on. Shortlisted applicants are contacted by call, SMS or WhatsApp within 5 working days.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Ballito.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Before you hit apply

Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
