Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a clothing distribution centre in Stellenbosch, and nobody minds if it's your first job. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a clothing distribution centre in Stellenbosch. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
