Window Cleaner (Rope Access Assistant) – Fixed-Term

Industrial cleaners are always in demand; this crew works a commercial kitchen in Stellenbosch. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a commercial kitchen on the Stellenbosch side of Western Cape. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Shampoo carpets and upholstery with an extraction machine
• Clear builders' dust, paint and cement off floors and windows after construction
• Put out and check pest bait stations on the site map
• Test sanitiser strength with test strips and record the reading
• Clean drains and grease traps in commercial kitchens

• Physically strong for wet, heavy work
• Reliable, as crews are small and each person counts
• Not scared of heights for window or rope crews
• Able to pass a medical fitness check for plant work
• Grade 10 or better; you must read chemical labels and safety data sheets
• Respect for chemical safety and PPE

• Paid training on machines and chemicals
• Full PPE: waterproof suits, boots, goggles and respirators
• Higher hourly rate than standard cleaning

• Put the machines and chemicals you have used at the top of your CV. Industrial cleaning companies hire on skills, not just willingness.
• Say you are available for night and shutdown work. That is when most factory hygiene cleaning happens.
