Job Description

You'll look after tables at a busy mall coffee shop in Lephalale, from the first greeting to the final bill. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Lephalale (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What your day looks like

Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.

What you need

Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus

Extra points for

Responsible Service of Alcohol training
A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
