Job Description

This is a floor job at a sports bar and grill in Pretoria West where your tips follow your service. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Pretoria West (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.

You'll need

Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
Quick with basic maths and card machines
Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
