Assistant Accountant (Audit Firm Client Services)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at a logistics company in Sandton. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a logistics company on the Sandton side of Gauteng. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance

• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One

• Consolidation experience across several companies
• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Power BI or a similar BI tool
