Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a managed services provider in Kariega. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Kariega. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Document network diagrams and change records
Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget

Must-haves

Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python

Helpful, not essential

Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
ISO 27001 audit experience
