IT Manager (Mid-Sized Company)

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for an university IT department in Mthatha. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Mthatha, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs

• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
• Clear change management and documentation habits

• CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
• ISO 27001 audit experience
