Cloud Engineer (AWS)

When the network goes down at this data centre in Sandton, you're the one who brings it back. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Sandton, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID

• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
• ISO 27001 audit experience

• Company laptop, phone and home internet allowance
