Job Description

Customers across Cape Town CBD wait on your truck, so a waste management contractor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Cape Town CBD; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

What your day looks like

Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Check the load against invoices before signing it out

Must-haves

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Clean driving record
Friendly and professional with customers
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Honest with cash and customer goods

Helpful, not essential

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
