Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cold-chain logistics fleet in Bloemfontein pays for. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a cold-chain logistics fleet on the Bloemfontein side of Free State.

The work, day to day

Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

You'll need

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes

Helpful, not essential

Dangerous goods training certificate
Knowledge of SADC border routes
