Debt Recovery Attorney (Banking Panel)

You'll run your own files from instruction to judgment at a property developer's in-house team in Secunda. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll report in Secunda. Relocation is not covered for this one. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
• Appear in the magistrate's court, CCMA, Labour Court or High Court as your matters need
• Review company processes for POPIA and privacy compliance
• Record billable time and hit the monthly target
• Brief counsel and prepare them for trial and opposed motions
• Draft and review contracts, shareholder agreements and legal opinions
• Supervise and train candidate attorneys and paralegals

• Able to manage client relationships without a senior in the room
• Enrolled with the Legal Practice Council and holding a current Fidelity Fund certificate if you handle trust money
• Right of appearance in the High Court for litigation posts
• Sound judgement under deadline pressure
