Estate Security Supervisor

Step up from guarding into supervising on a retail portfolio in Alberton. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a retail portfolio in Alberton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries

• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor

• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Management training for growth to operations manager
