Finance Manager (SME)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a logistics company in Cape Town CBD, from journals to the management pack. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at a logistics company in Cape Town CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT

• Power BI or a similar BI tool
• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA

• Paid professional body membership fees
• Hybrid schedule outside month-end week
• Study assistance for board exams
