Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an e-commerce platform in Germiston. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at an e-commerce platform in Germiston. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Pair with junior developers to unblock them

You'll need

Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Experience writing automated tests
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build

Extra points for

Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
