Job Description

A logistics software company in East London needs a developer who can take a ticket from idea to production. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in East London. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind

Must-haves

A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
Experience writing automated tests
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people

Extra points for

Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
