IT Intern (Support Desk)

Get hands-on support experience at a call centre campus in Kariega, from password resets to new laptop builds. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Kariega-based, with most of your time spent at a call centre campus. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers

• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma

• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• ITIL Foundation
