Job Description

A software development house in Richards Bay needs a developer who can take a ticket from idea to production. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a software development house on the Richards Bay side of KwaZulu-Natal.

The work, day to day

Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Write unit and integration tests before you merge

Must-haves

Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
