Job Description

An e-commerce platform in Richards Bay needs a developer who can take a ticket from idea to production. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at an e-commerce platform in Richards Bay. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What your day looks like

Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Write unit and integration tests before you merge

Must-haves

Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Experience writing automated tests

Nice if you have

Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
