Job Description

Get hands-on support experience at a managed IT services provider in George, from password resets to new laptop builds. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a managed IT services provider on the George side of Western Cape. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
Write short how-to guides for common user problems
Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system

You'll need

Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma

Nice if you have

ITIL Foundation
Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
