Job Description

A call centre campus in Somerset West needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The site is in Somerset West; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
Write short how-to guides for common user problems
Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues

Must-haves

Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
Patient and friendly with non-technical users

Helpful, not essential

Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
ITIL Foundation
