Job Description

Talking money and risk takes trust; at this medical gap cover broker in Somerset West you'll build it call by call. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a medical gap cover broker on the Somerset West side of Western Cape. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Do a needs analysis and match the client to the right product.
Save policies when clients call to cancel.
Explain waiting periods, exclusions and premiums in plain terms.
Visit clients at home or work for field advice appointments.
Follow up on quotes sent and chase missing documents.
Read the FAIS disclosures and record client consent on every call.
Call warm leads from the dialler and qualify them in the first minute.

What you need

Matric, including Maths or Maths Literacy
FAIS fit and proper: clean credit and criminal record
Six months or more of sales, telesales or call centre work
Credits toward a recognised FSCA qualification, or willing to start

Extra points for

Completed class of business training for short-term or long-term insurance
Your own car for field appointments
A qualification such as a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning
