Job Description

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a bus and coach operator in Sandton. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a bus and coach operator on the Sandton side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest

What you need

Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Good with Excel and email

Extra points for

Knowledge of cross-border documentation
Transport management system (TMS) experience
