Job Description

Steady shift work with a mine shift transport service in Durban Central for drivers with a passenger PrDP. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a mine shift transport service on the Durban Central side of KwaZulu-Natal.

The work, day to day

Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters

You'll need

Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
Patient and friendly with passengers
Punctual for very early starts
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Clean driving and criminal record
Medically fit

Extra points for

Fluent in more than one language
Tour coach experience with charters
