Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a financial services company in Rustenburg. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Rustenburg (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What you'll actually do

Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
Document network diagrams and change records
Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget

Must-haves

Clear change management and documentation habits
Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

Nice if you have

Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
