Job Description

This vehicle finance collections floor in Johannesburg CBD needs a calm negotiator who can hear "no" without giving up. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Johannesburg CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a vehicle finance collections floor.

The work, day to day

Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Answer disputes about balances, interest and fees with a printed statement.

You'll need

At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
Clear credit and criminal record
Matric
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not

Nice if you have

Knowledge of the NCA and prescription rules
Experience on a collections system such as Debtmaster or a dialler platform
