Job Description

Recons that balance and suppliers who get paid right: that's the job at a family-owned manufacturer in Hammarsdale. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a family-owned manufacturer on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What your day looks like

Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
Run petty cash and file slips with proper supporting documents
Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed

You'll need

Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work
Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details

Nice if you have

Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys
Knowledge of Sage Evolution or QuickBooks
