Service Desk Consultant (Furniture Store)

You'll help walk-in customers at a courier depot counter in Secunda, face to face, all day. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a courier depot counter on the Secunda side of Mpumalanga.

• Do SIM swaps and RICA registrations with proper ID checks.
• Book repairs and warranty claims and give customers a reference number.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
• Take payments, balance your till and bank cash at close.
• Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.
• Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.

• Accurate with cash and paperwork
• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
• Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
• Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end

• A Customer Service NQF certificate
• RICA and cellular product knowledge

• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead

• Dress as if you already work the counter when you drop off a CV or go for the interview.
• Apply close to home: stores prefer people who can reach the mall reliably for opening and closing shifts.
