Site Security Officer (Construction Yard)

Residents and staff at a gated residential estate in Gqeberha need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags

• Clean criminal record
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Provident fund contributions
